Tribal, Bali - A coliving sanctuary that rejuvenates your senses
Hello from Baliiiii..!!!
Pardon my excitement but it’s hard not to be when you get to stroll on the beach first thing in the morning before starting to read emails.
This is my first experience staying at a coworking hostel, where you ‘work, rest, play’ all in one place. A haven for digital nomads and remote-working backpackers like myself, the favourite part of my stay is actually being in the company of fellow hustlers.
Tribal Coliving is located in Canggu, and a mere 10-minute breezy walk to Pererenan Beach. On ground-floor is the hot-desking area which faces the pool (it is also where guests seem to love taking their business calls).
After just my first day, I had already established a favourite seat, and also learnt that you need to be an early bird if you want that hot seat because everyone there starts their daily grind really early. An attitude I appreciate because otherwise it is so easy to succumb to the lazy lounge sofas and waste the day away soaking up Vitamin D.
On the upper floor is the private dormitories. The 8-bed female room which I stayed in was spotless, and ticked all the basic necessities needed for a comfortable 1-week stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, so for USD$13/night I would say it was quite a bargain.
Not a Tribal guest but want to use the space? Tribal also welcomes ‘walk-in’ hotdeskers but with a fair-use policy of food & drinks purchase for every 3 hours of use.
Another thing I love about hostels is how easy it is to meet new people. A smile is the universal tool to break the ice and this time round, I met Alexa and Aesha from Netherlands. After a work day, it feels great exploring Canggu on a motorbike, and enjoying satay with new-found friends.
