Winning in heels; a night of self-reflection

Recently, JustCo Singapore partnered with GWPR Singapore to host a masterclass “Winning in Heels”, conducted by Kim Underhill, CEO of She Brilliance. SHE BRILLIANCE is a movement with a vision to help women aspire towards a purposeful life and lead change confidently. The masterclass gathered successful female communications professionals who aspired to be the change they want to see in the world.
Inspired by Kim's stories and wisdom, these brilliant women shared insights on self-development, gender equality in the workplace, and the challenges faced by modern women juggling multiple roles. It was a night of self-reflection, candid exchanges about gender equality in society, and how women can be a force for positive change.
My biggest take-away from the evening - Visibility. Kim highlighted how important it is to speak and step up. In order to grow and progress, it is good to participate in projects beyond our roles so that we may understand the bigger issues within the organisation, and thus be able to contribute more effectively.
But the part I enjoyed the most was actually being in the company of such brilliant, inspiring women who were so generous in sharing their stories and experiences on how to thrive doing the work they love. It felt like I was finally not grappling alone in the dark and the path was lit to show me the journey, if I was willing to trek it.
In the end, everyone can play their part in fostering an inclusive and positive culture where we celebrate the successes of individuals regardless of their gender and background. Thank you JustCo for hosting this platform where accomplished professionals can gather, drive positive social change, and inspire each other in their professional journeys.
